My prestigious client is looking for a strong Project Manager / PM with at least 5 years financial industry experience to coordinate the implementation of a new software.
Core skills of the project manager:
> Exceptional organisation/planning skills couples with the ability to implement a structured project management approach.
> Strong communication an presentation skills.
> Ability to build and maintain key relationships quickly (stakeholders and vendors).
> Skilled at negotiation and managing conflicts between different interested parties.
> Proactive strong delivery focus and able to drive events forward in the quickest possible time frame.
> Capable of working in a pressurised environment and to tight deadlines.
> Very professional approach and conduct.
Essential technical skills for this position:
> Although a non-technical role, a strong IT background to interact and facilitate developers.
> Previous experience of managing a vendor upgrade of a tier 1 application.
> Experience of automated testing tools and the ability to appraise/coordinate implementation of suitable regression tools.
> Can demonstrate implementing a robust testing approach and overseeing the creation of a large test suite.
> Ability to work closely with the Collateral Technical Architect.
> Coordinating offshore testing resources and ensuring the correct skill levels for regression testing.
> Very high standard of documentation including providing clear and concise progress reporting.
> Experienced managing a non-projectised implementation structure.
> Good knowledge of Office program suites.
