Collaborate BI is a process where individuals and organisations work together to develop a common understanding that’s shared and used to support better decision-making across the organisation, the firm says. More than 60 percent of the 882 worldwide organisations surveyed online in February and March 2014 say this capability is, at a minimum, important, according to the firm’s third annual “Wisdom of Crowds Collaborative Business Intelligence Market Study.”
“This year there is a rebound in interest in collaborative BI, placing it above such high-profile topics such as big data and social media,” Howard Dresner, founder and chief research officer at Dresner Advisory Services, said in a statement.
