CGI today announced its selection as the technology partner for the State of Michigan’s major Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system modernisation, a $89.4 million project that will provide the technology services required to deliver on the state’s goals of becoming one of the most innovative, efficient and responsive governments in the country.
Selected as the best value for Michigan in a full and open procurement, CGI will deploy a proven, built-for-government solution – CGI Advantage(R) — to improve business processes, enhance efficiency and improve overall administration for the state’s executive, legislative, and judicial branch organisations. In Michigan, CGI will also deploy its Managed Advantage cloud model to host, operate, maintain, and upgrade the state’s ERP systems.
“We completed a thorough and comprehensive competitive bid process for our ERP implementation and we feel very confident that CGI is the right provider for Michigan,” said Ruth Schwartz, ERP project director for the State of Michigan. “With a joint evaluation committee that included 200 advisors from across state government, we collectively agreed that the CGI solution provides the best value for Michigan with the power to transform government for the good of all.”
