SOASTA, the leader in cloud and mobile testing, today announced that Tal Broda, the company’s senior vice president of engineering, has been promoted to Chief Technology Officer, effective immediately.

Tal has more than 15 years of development and engineering leadership experience, specializing in developing software architecture and defining technology strategy. In his new role as CTO, Tal will continue to drive product development including platform architecture, detailed design, and ensuring the quality of SOASTA’s products, including CloudTest, TouchTest, and mPulse.

“During his five years at SOASTA, Tal has established himself as a true leader on our engineering team,” said Tom Lounibos, CEO of SOASTA. “Given his ability to analyze complex problems and deliver innovative testing solutions for SOASTA’s customers, we know he is ready to take on a new challenge as our Chief Technology Officer.”

Before working at SOASTA, Tal was the Director of Development for Oracle’s Business Activity Monitoring (Oracle BAM) engineering team. While at Oracle, he was responsible for the architecture and development schedule of the BAM product line, determining the go-to-market strategy, and evangelizing it to customers. His efforts increased the customer base by twelve-fold in one year. Tal also drove the acquisition of Sunopsis, Oracle’s next generation ETL product and delivered its integration to the BAM product line in one month’s time.
