Microsoft and Salesforce are extending their strategic partnership.

17/09/2015 by Sharon Shahzad

Companies will connect the Salesforce Customer Success Platform to Microsoft Office apps.

The goal of the partnership is to connect the Salesforce Customer Success Platform to Microsoft Office productivity apps and services.

The two giants will work together to deliver new solutions that will integrate Salesforce with Skype for Business, OneNote, Delve and Windows 10 - all with collaborative work in mind.

Skype for Business is to be integrated into Salesforce's Lightning Experience, while Office 365 customers will be able to use the tool for creating Web meetings, click to chat and make voice calls from the Lightning Experience.

OneNote's integration with Lightning will enable users to associate notes with Slesforce records; they will also be able to edit notes directly in OneNote from Lightning.

Salesforce integration with Office Graph and Office Delve will allow Office 365 users to view Salesforce content in Delve. This means they will be able to view sales opportunities, customer accounts and services.
