New BI enhancements unveiled by Infor

15/06/2016 by Sharon Shahzad

Infor, one of the world’s leading enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution providers, has announced that it has added a number of enhancements to its business intelligence (BI) offering. Version 11.0 of Infor M3 Analytics will allow faster results for BI projects whilst reducing the overall cost of use. The update comes at a time when many businesses around the world are desperate for new analytical tools so as to make use of the vast amounts of data available. Infor’s tool might be especially useful as it is industry-specific, helping to facilitate seamless operations according to the sector in which it’s being used.

Infor has numerous solutions that have been developed for the cloud and are also specialised by industry, allowing various markets to utilise different functions to optimise individual use. Cloud use means that tools can be accessed anytime and from anywhere, giving companies a hands-on approach to real-time information wherever they may be. As part of the upgraded Infor M3 Analytics, users will be able to gain better management information and arrive at the decision-making process with even more knowledge in their arsenal. This should allow more powerful decisions to be made, helping to steer firms in the right direction. In addition, for M3 users, Infor’s common BI technology stack is utilised to draw together a large and varied pool of skilled resources. This not only means that BI projects can be better supported, but also that new functionality is now available.

Infor Senior Director of Industry and Solution Strategy Andrew Dalziel said: “Close integration between M3 Analytics and Infor M3 enables in-context business intelligence for customers to achieve better, faster decision-making and drill-back capabilities make it easy to quickly execute changes within Infor M3. This is a unique level of functionality, which provides measurable value that is beyond what competing solutions are currently capable of delivering. Infor M3 Analytics provides a tool capable of accelerating business intelligence and shorten the time to value.”

For many current users of M3 Analytics, the latest upgrade will allow the risk of implementations to be reduced, in addition to cutting expenses. Infor also champions the solution’s ability to accelerate the speed in which BI projects are completed, shortening the time to value in the process. These enhancements may also attract new clients to Infor, particularly those who want an industry-specific BI tool to help them compete in the furiously competitive modern market.
