SAP Business One 9.2 was originally announced in 2015. The tool is now readily available to SMEs, both in an on-premises and a cloud format. Developed to run on the successful Hana database platform, the upgrade includes numerous new features that will be of great benefit to small firms. For example, better forecasting capabilities are offered because of the latest predictive analytics inclusion. By using these correctly, businesses will be able to better plan future demand for their products and services. In addition to the analytics, Business One 9.2 will include a project management module. This will provide support to monitor progress on an ongoing basis, allowing employees to see key milestones easily and keep track of a project’s journey. Important project-related data, including documents, transactions and resources, can all be monitored. Version 9.2 also contains a way to access SAP’s ERP offering via a browser. This will spare many users the requirement of a remote desktop, allowing them to access data when they’re on the road regardless of the device they’re using.
Business One is currently used by around 50,000 companies worldwide. SAP’s solution supports Microsoft SQL Server 2014, and is also available as a mobile app powered by the Hana platform.
