Capacity and Availability SME required. An experienced Capacity and Availability SME is required by Montash's client, a leading consultancy, for an initial two month contract (100% remote).
The client is aware that, while the Service Transition function is on top of new deployments from a Service Readiness perspective, there may be availability and capacity issues lurking within existing services that could surface as the demands of their schedule change.
This role will analyse the client's existing IT service capacity and availability (as opposed to new/updated services that are being delivered by existing programmes/projects) in order to surface areas where the client might face service capacity and availability challenges, particularly in light of the changes to ways of working.
This role will work alongside and guide an existing Capacity and Availability Officer, who works within the IT department's Service Design function. This role will also sit within the Design function, working closely with the Service Transition team (process, templates, etc) but with a focus on existing services that are mostly untouched by programmes and projects. Interactions will be required across Design, Develop, Operate and Business Partners in order to identify and analyse any historical service data that exists, recognise the rhythm of the schedule, accommodate changing ways of working, identify risk and recommend mitigation to bolster and stabilise existing IT services.
Experience within education would be preferable.
Please apply immediately if you are a good fit.
