Data Architect - SC Cleared required. A Data Architect who has current SC Clearance is required by Montash's client, a leading consultancy, to be based from London on an initial three month contract.

The Data Architect will be working within a multi-disciplinary team focussing on the development and delivery for this consultancy's public sector client. This role will be to work with the both the A&P project team and the existing Analysis and Performance (A&P) BAU function to develop the data needed to deliver the prioritised KPIs, metrics and reports.

The Data Architect must have experience of:

  • Extensive knowledge of data architecture, data modelling and data governance principles
  • Experience of working in a similar Solutions Data Architecture position in public sector institution
  • Knowledge of data querying tools and ETL techniques
  • Knowledge of DW Architecture and principles
  • Knowledge of Azure

Further to this, the Data Architect will have the following skills and experience:

  • Proven expertise and experience of analysing, defining and documenting complex data clearly across strategic, business, systems, processes and areas of the organisation
  • Track record in analysing system and manually created data to assess completeness, quality and accuracy
  • Experience of defining and documenting data workflows across systems and operations
  • Previous experience building frameworks for reporting data, providing in-depth analysis or modelling data to provide insight
  • Working closely with Reporting and Analytics teams to precisely define data requirements to enable you to analyse data and develop KPIs and metrics and reporting requirements
  • Have strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise own workload with competing priorities
  • Ability to work confidently with a diverse group of stakeholders and challenge established business processes and working practices
  • Ability to develop domain expertise quickly
  • Have significant experience of stakeholder relationship management and an ability to influence challenging stakeholders in an environment of competing priorities
  • Experience of working within agile, waterfall and hybrid/semi agile development programmes
  • Demonstrable expertise and experience of using software tools e.g. Jira, Confluence
  • Proven track record of as-is & to-be data mapping and modelling
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and presentational skills
  • Demonstrable experience of stakeholder relationship management and influencing skills, demonstrating success in facilitating collaboration, influencing, communicating and negotiating at all levels
  • Working with and leading Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to capture requirements and deliver other products against tight deadlines
  • Ability to work closely with programme and project managers accounting for and reporting against deliverables
  • Experience of capturing & documenting complex data definitions and business rules
  • Strong technical background to be able to pick up new technologies and internal systems quickly
  • Ability to manage stakeholders across multiple locations
