Enterprise Architect; Integration & Data - Luton - £100K + up to 30% bonus
Our client a FTSE 100 International e-commerce business are actively seeking an Enterprise Architect to shape and manage the future direction of their technology architecture, with a primary focus on Integration & Data domains.
The successful candidate will have strong experience in working with senior business stakeholders, reviewing and shaping alignment of integration platforms and data architecture to support cross-functional needs and ensuring technology roadmaps meet the business needs.
Essential Skills:
- Strong enterprise architecture skills, particularly in aligning strategic business requirements and the IT architectures & roadmaps needed to deliver against them
- Expertise in data & integration architecture including topics such as service-orientation, APIs, event-driven architectures, batch data integration, data lakes, 'data fabric', data warehousing, data management etc.
- Expertise in governance and assurance for enterprise integration (e.g. APIs, Events etc.) and data (data models, resources, products etc.)
- Good appreciation of solution architecture, software and solution delivery practices, IT infrastructure and application architecture.
- Familiarity with patterns, practices and frameworks of Enterprise Architecture.
- Be confident in presenting high-level technical architecture and strategy to both and IT and business audience.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the 'go-to' Integration & Data expert within the Architecture team leading on topics such as real-time & batch integration methods, integration service & API practices, data lakes & data warehousing / BI, data quality and management etc.
- Contribute to the development of technology strategy and architectural policy
- Acting as Technical Design Authority, review and assess requests that deviate from the published technical strategies, policies and standards to ensure right decisions are made, risks and understood & managed etc.
- Building and maintaining capability and technology roadmaps that define how Integration and Data platforms, are kept up to date and deliver optimal value for the business
- Maintaining key enterprise architecture artefacts (e.g. current state overviews / inventories, target states etc.)
