Mobile App Development Manager

Overview: Montash is working with an exciting client in the Utilities sector who are looking for a Mobile App Development Manager who will be responsible for the line management of the Mobile App Development team. The preferred candidate will be required to provide support to the business for all mobile app related issues and to coordinate and assign team resources to meet requirements and deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the technical authority for the business providing support and advice on mobile app development best practices
  • Oversee code reviews to ensure development standards are maintained
  • Collaborate with business analysts to provide technical insight during the analysis stage of a project
  • Review requirements and specs based on technical needs and lead solution design
  • Plan and implement deployment process for mobile applications
  • Work alongside tech authors to create and maintain software documentation
  • Take responsibility of the recruitment process as required
  • Mentor junior team members
  • Attend planning meetings with other Dev Group management
  • Participate in strategic company initiatives

Requirements:

  • Degree in a computer-related subject or equivalent
  • At least 5 years' experience in a development role producing mobile apps
  • 2 years' experience in a managerial position
  • 2 years' experience in the business-to-consumer industry
  • Knowledge of the MVC framework
  • Knowledge of coding languages (Java, Kotlin, Swift)
  • Knowledge of associated source code repository, continuous build tools and workflow management (Jira, GIT, Jenkins)
  • Experience implementing Agile and DevOps methodologies
  • Understanding of source code management and the code release process
  • Knowledge of security and data security
  • Experience implementing secure payment gateways for high volume mobile payments
