Montash have been engaged with an enterprise software company, who are seeking a seasoned Pre-sales Solution Architect to join their IT Transformation team. You will be consulting with their clients in the delivery phases of project proposals from early stages to define complex IT transformations, defining or architecting (from a solutions level) the proposals and handing over to delivery teams.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a high-paced environment, to join a fast-growing area of the company receiving high amount of business hence the need for someone new to join them. You will play a lead and important role dedicated to their top-level accounts, gaining good exposure to the market and opportunity to broaden your skills in certain areas.   • Consult with customers (face to face + remote involved) to understand their needs in order to scope and build a solution in form of a proposal. The proposal includes; building ROI analysis, defines roadmap, define timelines, risk assessment, resources, tools etc.
  • Present the proposal to customer articulated in customer value terms. (although you will not be negotiating the deal as this will be the role of your sales counterpart)
  • Act as a consultative and trusted partner to customers.
  • Pre-sales duties.
  • Technical Solution Design (architecture). Working with the (technical) service delivery team on the solution design to ensure in can be properly implemented.
  • Collaborate closely with sales team to win the business.
  • Hand-over the solution to the technical teams to implement once deal is confirmed.
  • Develop a winning value proposition to include analysing critical business drivers and risks.


  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar position ideally within a complex IT service environment.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven customer facing experience in a consultative approach.
  • Able to understand customer requirements and confidently run assessments and workshops to define customer needs.
  • Able to collaborate across teams including closely with sales teams but also technical teams.
  • Proven experience scoping and building complex proposals within at least two of the following areas:
  • IT4IT
  • DevOps
  • Hybrid Cloud Monitoring
  • ITOps Automation
  • ITSM
  • IT Transformation topics
  • Presales experience working on deals ideally from €2m to €5m.
  • Solution design/architecture experience.
  • Business Acumen.
  • You are a team player with leadership skills and able to guide teams and guide communications.
  • Stakeholder engagement skills.
  • German Fluent Language and Good English Language skills.
  • You will be based in Germany and able to work remotely however some travel weekly or monthly travel will be involved (as Covid allows). Travel will be to customers within Germany and sometimes Switzerland.
