Senior Scrum Master - SC Cleared required. A Senior Scrum Master who ideally has current SC Clearance and PLM experience is required by Montash's client, a leading technology company, based in Bristol. Please note that this role will be mostly remote, although you must be prepared to travel to client site in Bristol on occasion.

The Senior Scrum Master must have the following experience:

  • Previously delivered one or more project / programme as the RTE / Lead SM role
  • SAFe certification or equivalent,
  • Level 2 Scrum Master certification (CSP, PSM II)
  • Bachelor's degree and +5 years of product or project development experience, or 4 years of project development experience of Agile Teams or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Exemplifies and promotes lean agile leadership, teaching lean thinking whilst promoting Agile values and principles
  • Outstanding communication, facilitation, negotiation, situational awareness, conflict resolution continual improvement and coaching skills
  • Advanced knowledge of an agile frameworks or methods demonstrating solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as in-depth knowledge of traditional project management principles and practices
  • Demonstrates recent experience facilitating scaled agile delivery using either SAFe or equivalent
  • Experience of Continuous Delivery and DevOps / DevSecOps
  • Excellent planning and problem solving with programme management, architecture and delivery teams
  • An expert in story mapping, estimation, velocity, retrospection, and other agile techniques
  • Experience using collaboration tool e.g. Jira and Confluence
  • Knowledge and experience of a range of mainstream technology solutions along with an understanding of modern architectural principles including SOA
  • Experience training and mentoring agile teams
  • Demonstrate experience facilitating meetings at multiple levels of an organization and an understanding of facilitation techniques.
  • Capable of interacting with stakeholders at all levels and creating clear and concise documentation
  • Experienced presenter and facilitator with a track record for influencing and guiding customers & users
  • Candidates should be fully UK mobile: willing to work on projects across the UK and must be cleared to SC level

Ideally the Senior Scrum Master will have the following experience:

  • Knowledge of other agile approaches: XP Kanban, DAD, FDD etc..
  • Agile coach expereince
  • Certified SAFe 4 RTE
  • Certified SAFe consultant
  • Experience of agile techniques INVEST, 3 Amigos, BDD, TDD, Pairing, Automated testing and continuous integration
  • Applicable knowledge of Siemens PLM technologies
  • Delivering business and technical PLM implementation experience

The Senior Scrum Master will be responsible for the following:

  • Customer focus on leading the understanding of what the business and user needs
  • Drive adoption of the scaled agile approach to delivering PLM solution and own the role of release train engineer (RTE)
  • Be responsible for facilitating and collaborating with other competency leads and supports the programme execution with managing risks, impediments and tracking velocity of scrum teams
  • Coordinates the agile programme ceremonies including facilitate Scrum of Scrums, Programme Increment (PI) and Release Planning
  • Ensuring well defined scope and objectives are communicated to the teams for each PI
  • Promote the importance of quality working with BA and QA leads to ensure the teams all take responsibility for delivering quality
  • Ensures any blocker / impediments escalated from the scrum teams is recorded and resolved
  • Coach the programme, sharing experience delivering quality products and services following agile practices and principles
  • Support the senior stakeholders and POs to develop the Programme Roadmap and Backlog
  • Leading the scrum masters to influence and drive decisions, supporting the PO managing stakeholder expectations
  • Drive programme level continuous improvement building the high performing team through recognition of strengths and development opportunity
  • Support the SMs and POs by periodically attending sprint reviews
  • Facilitate monthly programme show and tells / show the thing
