My client is now looking to take their already huge success to the next level and believe their apps will be a major driving force in achieving this. Therefore, they are investing into the growth of their app team and need an outstanding app product manager who can lead the team in the right direction and on to the path of success. You will need to have a vast digital knowledge particularly within the mobile landscape with an excellent technical understanding of mobile and native app technologies. Working very close with the product, both development and UX teams as well as stakeholders across the business to build on and support a range of product and service enhancements.

My client is looking for someone who has a full understanding of product management, who is a huge advocate of agile methodology and has a solid grounding in a variety of development approaches. This position is all about the customer and everything they do is focused around the customer experience. As mentioned a genuine energy in your day to day approach is going to be a driving factor in the swift integration and proper appreciation of our intuitive delivery style.

The role will cover every customer touch point on our app and will have critical input into the work to deliver the underlying services that support these propositions. You will be in an environment where you are not only encouraged to be inspired but to inspire yourself. My client is looking for someone who can use their influence to champion a product culture throughout the business.

Paying attention to detail and being capable of building a good rapport within the company, you will need to have confidence in your methods possessing the authority that others will look up and listen to you when needed. Most importantly you will need to have a good sense of humour and know how to have fun!

Envisioning

  • To be able to analyse and understand customer behaviours, any problems with usability and to spot opportunities in the market.
  • Understand and meet needs of the stakeholders (Marketing, Commercial, Customer Services, Production)

Planning

  • Understand user problems and forward think to come up with product solutions that address these
  • Build the link between the customer, development team, and any third party in regards to software functionality, in the product development life cycle

Implementation

  • Produce user stories that can be used during agile development
  • Constantly adapting processes and resources which can improve both the quality and speed of delivery

Skills and experience

  • At least four year's experience as a customer facing product manager
  • Experience developing mobile native apps
  • Two years agile/scrum
  • Good knowledge with web technologies
  • Excellent communicator at all levels
  • Metric driven and able to report on progress whilst showing continued development
  • Ability to improve customer journey and experience
  • Natural ability to build rapport with stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally
