Business Analyst Manager (eCommerce) - up to £65,000
I am working with a Global Brand that is going through a large IT Transformation.
To support their growth; they are seeking an experienced Business Analyst Manager to lead a team of around 8 business analyst. This is a highly visible position where you will working closely with IT Portfolio Manager in ecommerce and be responsible for gathering requirements, quality assurance, future planning, business relationship management and leading a team.
The Business Analyst Manager will be responsible for documenting the as is and to be functional and cross functional business processes to support strategic and operational improvement initiatives, as well as designing new and innovative processes. This role acts as the liaison between the ecommerce business and IT organizations, as well as key external partners. This role develops strong working relationships across both IT and its business partners in order to develop a strong end to end knowledge of both business process and supporting systems. This role seeks to understand business needs and works to optimize, innovate, and shape priorities for delivery.
The primary focus and discipline for this role is business analysis but can also include; project management, test planning and execution, training and change management, and deployment support of the overall solution.
Responsible for managing all aspects of collecting, refining, and prioritizing business requirements. Leads as is and to be functional and cross functional sessions; clearly identifies gaps and business impacts. Understands the difference between and drives clarity in functional and non functional requirements. Drives clarity in gaps/issues to be resolved and creates cross functional alignment in priorities. Fosters team work and collaboration to develop comprehensive solutions. Acts at the voice to our external customer, continuously improving customer experience.
Applies business analysis tools, techniques, processes, and methodologies to ensure compliance and traceability for complex business processes, systems and solutions. Fosters an environment of continuous learning, improvement and evolution of the business analysis toolkit.
Actively monitors the development of solutions and business needs. Monitors the risk and potential for scope and solution change. Acts as the primary liaison to negotiate the need for any changes throughout the project. Clearly communicates the implications of the change, utilizing a formal change control process to document, review, and gain approval or postponing.
Partners with the quality assurance team for test planning and execution of the overall solution. Works with the QA team member to ensure traceability of requirements through test execution. Monitors the solution in warranty and assesses defects for missed requirements or missed testing. Support user acceptance testing.
Partners with the business for evaluating change management needs and training. As solution develops, partners with business for change impact assessment and supports developing change management plans, communications, and training
Bachelors degree in business or IT
Experience in agile and waterfall methodologies
5+ years progressive experience in business requirements and systems analysis supporting business applications and implementations.
Experience implementing ecommerce releases as well as large scale capabilities
Excellent facilitation skills, ability to plan and lead individual as well as large cross functional group interviews to gather current business process information and translate that information to business process models
Comfortable communicating with technology as well as business professionals, understands end to end system processing and challenges; acts as a translator for business and IT communications
Strong communication skills; ability to plan and deliver formal presentations to different levels within the organization
Experienced in testing solutions for quality outcomes
Experienced in planning and executing the necessary steps for change management of new solutions
Ecommerce / Omni Knowledge:
- Knowledgeable in eCommerce fulfillment, customer service, omni-channel, and inventory replenishment
- Knowledgeable in the Omni channel customer experience; designing process and solutions through the voice of the customer
- Knowledgeable in ecommerce KPIs, business drivers, and industry trends
- Experience designing and testing; store online inventory, ship from store, and in-store pick up solutions
- Work closely with 3rdparty eCommerce vendors to communicate business requirements and ensure alignment with their development plans; Driving online growth through continuous feature enhancements
