Job Description

Montash have been engaged by a world leading, newly merged organisation for a cloud architect.

This role will be based in Amsterdam for an initial 6 month period.

Accountabilities:
* Own systems architecture of the data cloud environment
* Lead performance optimisation activities on the data cloud platform (working with Devops and Infrastructure functions)
* Lead cost optimisation and automation activities on the data cloud platform (working with Devops)
* Help define the data cloud platform solution roadmap and work with the Product Owners and Data Devops to get it delivered
* Define best practices for leveraging chosen AWS platforms and technologies
* Conduct training on the best usage and optimisation of the data cloud platform
* Manage relationships with AWS (from strategic roadmap point of view)
* Work with the business stakeholders and delivery teams to showcase 'art of the possible' (i.e. AWS Machine Learning) and get the best out of the data cloud platform
* Monitor industry developments in the space and share them with the teams

Key Strengths:
* Expert level knowledge of the AWS cloud platforms
* Champion of cloud implementation best practice, troubleshooting and usage
* Champion of cloud security best practices
* Champion of cloud cost models
* Ability to influence without authority
* Presentation and training skills
* Exposure to other cloud platforms (e.g. Azure)
