System Administrator - Cloud Migration required. A System Administrator - Cloud Migration is required to join one of Montash's clients, who are a leading financial institution, on a 10 month contract.
The System Administrator - Cloud Migration will be working on a Migration to Hybrid Cloud Project and will be working within a sub-project team focussed on the migration of a number of Applications. The System Administrator - Cloud Migration will have a broad understanding of a range of technical platforms such as AWS, Windows, Solaris and Linux and able to develop solution architectures for applications on these platforms.
The System Administrator - Cloud Migration will have data migration skills for planning database migration for SQL Server and Oracle Databases. The System Administrator - Migration will have knowledge of VMWARE and virtualisation tools, knowledge of the Oracle Virtual Manager and specification of Solaris environments and an understanding of AWS and the configuration of EC2 instances, AWS networking concepts (VPC peering, Security Groups and NACLs).
The System Administrator - Cloud Migration will be responsible for confirming the migration wave plan and grouping with Client and support Client Change Management process. The System Administrator - Cloud Migration will create MDD (Migration Design Document) for each move group as per the 'Blueprint Process', migrate the applications and data based on various migration methods (P2V, V2V, lift and shift, build from scratch, backup and restore, Platespin etc and coordinate migration activity with 3rd parties). The System Administrator - Cloud Migration will also get involved in testing early Life Support for migrated applications.
