Job Description

I am currently working with a large FMCG Enterprise with revenue of £34.76 billion last year. They are going through a large IT Transformation and as such they seeking a Cloud Strategy Architect to guide them through their journey.

Key Role:


Provide consultation and strategic guidance internal chief enterprise architects, CIOs, and other senior IT staff to help shape IT strategy and direction for large, complex IT ecosystems. Work as part of an Enterprise Architecture (EA) program team to develop and maintain key agency EA products, including Cloud strategy and application rationalization for Cloud deployment, Cloud vendor or platform selection, and Cloud migration strategy, Application Life cycle Management (ALM) strategy, Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) processes and techniques under an overarching enterprise Platform-as-a-Service.

Build and maintain a Cloud infrastructure strategy and provide input and advice as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) by creating solution architecture or overseeing Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) to assess the various needs of the client from the perspective of security, networking, and Cloud infrastructure providers, including various application stack types, Cloud and PaaS solutions.

Write incrementally updated policies, guidelines, and checklist documents for the enterprise to use. Analyze these policies, guidelines, checklists, and transition documents for projects to consult and help the client adopt the best Cloud infrastructure that satisfies their specific technical requirements.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Basic Qualifications:
-5+ years of experience with professionally developing software using platforms, including Java, J2EE platforms.
-4+ years of experience with developing professional software using Cloud infrastructure and foundry, including AWS, OpenStack, or Azure
-2+ years of experience with developing Cloud strategy documents for large enterprises
-Knowledge of current IT architectural paradigms and concepts, IAAS, SAAS, PaaS, and DevOps, including Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), Event-Driven Architecture (EDA), and managed services
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-BA or BS degree required

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with PaaS platforms, including Pivotal PCF, OpenShift, and IBM BlueMix
-Experience with project, task, or team leadership preferred
-Knowledge of DevOps methodologies and tools, including Docker, Chef, and Jenkins preferred
-Possession of excellent analytical and conceptual skills, including the ability to function at the both conceptual and detail levels
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
