Job Description

Role: Data Scientist

Location: City of London

Salary: £90-100k + 10% Bonus + Healthcare + Pensions + Childcare / Eyecare Vouchers

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • MSc degree or equivalent in a relevant quantitative discipline
  • Minimum 3 years experience working as a data scientist, solving complex business problems
  • Previous experience with recommender, contextual, or personalised systems
  • A solid understanding of statistics, machine learning, and quantitative methods
  • Experience with distributed solutions and large datasets (we use Scala Spark / Hadoop)
  • Proficient in one or more programming / scripting languages (e.g, Scala, Python, Java, R)
  • Ability to communicate within a fast-paced team of both technical and non-technical experts

Desirable Skills & Qualifications

  • PhD in a relevant quantitative discipline
  • Experience within the retail industry
  • Experience within digital marketing, for example, email or business intelligence
  • Experience working inside an agile project framework (scrum / kanban)
