Leading global ecommerce brand seeks a Data Scientist to join its passionate team. Working within the analytics team you will play a key role in helping the business further understand its customer as it looks to extend the value it adds to its customers. You will be a highly analytical person who is also passionate about data driven decision making.


  • Make recommendations and predictions to the business, acting as trusted business partner
  • Develop data product prototypes
  • Understand and evaluate business questions using statistical methods.
  • Provide expertise in data mining, measuring business performance and research using mathematical, statistical and experitmental tools and techniques (Hadoop, DataWarehouse, MongoDB, Webtracking)
  • Data Analysis and Business Intelligence activities


  • Masters or PHD education in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Econometrics or similar
  • Strong experience in Data Science or Data Analysis, over 3 years
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Expertise in Data Mining and predictive modelling
  • Ablility to communicate with business and provide advise with to the point communication
  • Good Understanding of BI, Tracking and BIG Data
  • Proactive, Do-er
  • SQL and Stats/Data Analysis tools (R, Python, SAS, SPSS, Tableau or others)
  • Machine Learning is nice to have
  • Able to work on your own, but also as part of cohesive team
  • Fluent in English and German
