Data Visualisation Analyst - 6 months - Global investment bank

Montash have been engaged by a global investment bank, who require a Data Visualisation Analyst for a 6 -month contract based in London

The Data Shared Service Centre (SSC) was launched in November 2015. IT team responsible for the delivery of IT platforms and solutions across a wide range of areas including Analytics, Business Intelligence, Big Data and ETL to all business lines and functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the development lead and at times work with the other development leads within SSC for all core data
  • reporting and analytics development undertaken by the SSC
  • Discussing the business requirements with the clients and transforming them to the insightful dashboards
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Work with onshore and offshore developers
  • Follow-up and co-ordinate the development tasks
  • Facilitate good communication with the stakeholders
  • Contribute to the implementation of improvements to the BI systems

Skills & Competencies

  • Good level of experience in a delivery focussed team
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, managing the priorities and the client expectations on
  • each of those projects.
  • Expert knowledge of Tableau software and Microsoft SSRS
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Power BI
  • Understanding of the Database concepts and Database modelling
  • Good knowledge of SQL and MS SQL Server and Oracle RDBMS
  • Sponsor and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working in onshore/offshore delivery centres, including interaction with geographically distributed clients
  • Encourage continuous improvement, innovation and creativity
  • Facilitate problem solving & collaboration
  • Ability to discover and analyse problems, and present solutions in a clear and concise manner
  • A strong and self-motivated team player
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively present to target audience
