DevOps Technical Lead - Contract - 6 Months - £600-£650 per day - IT

DevOps Technical lead required. Montash has been engaged by a leading finical organisation, who is looking to acquire the services of an experienced DevOps Technical lead for an initial 6 month based Central London.

The DevOps Technical lead will be a leading a talented and driven team of DevOps Engineers, who are delivering several exciting technical solutions across our clients enterprise business systems.

The DevOps Technical team lead will have a proven track-record in a technical team lead capacity, with a good balance of management and technical skills. The Technical team lead ideally will also have Experience in resource and workload management.

Alongside outstanding team leadership skills you will need a superb understanding of continuous integration, automation and Containerisation using Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Jenkins and Docker.

Furthermore, you will demonstrable experience in the development support and modification of AWS environments, and have extensive knowledge of leading highly performant Agile teams.

In the summary, the DevOps Technical team lead will have the following skills and capabilities:

  • The DevOps Technical team lead will have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership, employee engagement and team motivation competencies
  • Expertise across the DevOps stack using Puppet, Chef, Ansible, AWS
  • Continuous Integration, automation and Containerisation
  • Extensive knowledge of working in highly performant Agile teams
  • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning and execution
  • The DevOps Technical team lead will need Service-orientated customer facing skills
  • Proven track record of working well under pressure and thinking clearly in challenging situations in a logical manner
  • The Technical team lead will need a strong understanding of cloud infrastructures including AWS
  • Detail oriented, process driven, highly innovative mind-set, with deeply engrained sense of ownership for the services delivered
