Enterprise Architect (Advisory IoT Practice) - Director Level

Salary: £95,000 - £110,000 + bonus and benefits

I am currently working with a Global Consultancy that has recently secured a number of exciting projects in IoT, connected devises and Cloud.

  • Support new and start-up engagements working with the wider IoT Team providing hands on strategic direction setting, architecture design, and support the build out/hire of new teams in key accounts and geographies
  • Lead architecture engagements and major transformation execution through execution phases and where applicable drive internal, client and third party vendor mixed teams
  • Engage clients with varying degrees of maturity at the CxO level to lead innovation and the development of strategy
  • Support clients (C-Level & Heads Of) in the establishment of IoT architecture functions and architecture operating/governance models
  • The role is to develop and establish oneself as a industry and IoT thought leader in next generation architecture fields and open source technologies
  • Understand, define and capture the architecture of clients and identify opportunities for transformation
  • Lead architecture engagements and where applicable drive internal, client and third party vendor mixed teams in programme execution
  • Define our Digital propositions can be implemented within the client architecture

  • Skills and Experience:
  • Candidates will be architecture specialists, but with broad practical experience in programme and service delivery
  • Strong IoT & Enterprise Architecture skills, including technical architecture and business architecture
  • Has defined IoT strategy and transformation
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Significant experience in IoT Channels, eco-systems and integrated back end systems
  • Has experience and familiar with agile design concepts
  • Excellent team building, leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Programme delivery leadership and experience
  • Operations or Service Delivery experience
  • Led product development and/or influenced vendor product or strategy
  • deally has hands-on experience in either ops, support or development role
  • Ideally a mix of experience in clients and experience in vendor / service companies / consultancies
  • Ideally established industry presence, including publications and conference engagements

  • Deep understanding of:
  • Web and mobile technologies across multiple different technology platforms
  • New generation technologies e.g. DevOP's, Cognitive, IoT/E, Automation, Cloud, Analytics
  • Channel architecture and back end core architectures
  • Open source and vendor stacks/solutions
  • Software architectures
  • Eco-system and support architectures
  • Integration architectures
  • Experience of large business critical transactional processing systems

Experience & Likely Background / Current Roles with 10+ years in :

* Chief Architects / Heads of Architecture in large companies

* Senior Product Leads / Chief Architects in vendor organisations

* CTOs in medium sized companies or start-up

* Practice heads in IoT /next generation architecture functions within consultancy/ IoT boutique firms

* Senior / lead developers with good architectural thinking skills
