SCOPE:

Global Information Services (GIS) has a worldwide responsibility for all IT processes, solutions and services including digital.

The Global Enterprise Architecture & Digital Innovation team has 3 main focus areas:

  • Managing the enterprise architecture
  • Leading IT innovation
  • Leading IT digital transformation

The Enterprise Architect & Digital Innovation Manager establishes and protects:

  • Global and OpCo enterprise IT architecture by defining a long term GIS Enterprise Architecture strategy and roadmap, aligned with the business objectives and IT strategy.
  • The development and effectiveness of the innovation & digital operating model within GIS that enables GIS to deliver innovation and digital agenda.

The Enterprise Architect & Digital Innovation Manager is expected to:

  • Develop win-win, collaborative relations that add clear value to all internal and external stakeholders
  • Actively embrace and promote change, from both within and outside GIS
  • Lead by example and actively engage
  • Ensure GIS remains relevant and enabling to strategic agenda

Take a longer term perspective, informed by both internal and external factors

EA RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and manage Enterprise Architecture artefacts e.g. strategies, directions and enterprise roadmaps
  • Ensure that the EA related deliverables are socialised, published and understood by key stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development, improvement, simplification and governance of the enterprise IT landscape, taking overall business and IT objectives into account
  • Take an active role in the 3-year project portfolio planning process (Consult on business demand, IT driven and business driven portfolio and key impacts)
  • Accountable for selecting new solutions (application, technology, digital etc.), responsible for approving selected solutions and accountable for publishing updated enterprise architecture
  • Performing toll gate/architecture reviews based on whether enterprise architectural standards are followed or change programmes are in line with the reference architecture and the enterprise architecture roadmap
  • Advisor to the business and IT community, program/project management, support organisation and external suppliers
  • Ensure the landscape integrity by estimating the value and impact of changes or the adding/remove of components to the architectural landscape and advise relevant stakeholders on this matter (in programmes/projects)
  • Build trusted relationships with partners and stakeholders within GIS and the other business functions as well as with third parties
  • Understand the business strategies and directions; actively partner with the business and other stakeholders and be able to challenge them
  • Working on strategic level with partners to further optimise GIS sourcing strategy

Ensure the collation and analysis of financial information so that value driven decisions are made and the impact to the organisation clearly articulated

DIGITAL INNOVATION MANAGEMENT

  • Drive, develop and protect the innovation and digital operating model within GIS
  • Build relationships with other Functions' innovation and digital leads
  • Translate innovation and digital ideas into relevant long term IT developments and lead current innovation and digital initiatives
  • Track digital and innovation trends and technologies inside and outside the HEINEKEN organisation
  • Actively advise the key stakeholders, inside and outside GIS, on relevant opportunities in the digital and innovation area
  • Manage GIS's innovation and digital processes (external and internal innovation)

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Manager level experience in leading IT in a digital/agile operating model environment (or an environment that is transitioning towards one)
  • Creativity - being able to look at technology and business trends from different angles
  • Flexibility - being able to work in a constantly changing environment/an environment where priorities will constantly shift
  • Strategic thinking - both macro and micro, internal and external
  • Strategic sensing - understanding and acting (being proactive) as strategy and technologies evolve over time
  • End to end communication - from creation of materials to presentation and updates; at all organisational levels, in multi formats
  • Stakeholder management across functions, at all levels
  • Mix of pragmatic and dogmatic - clear on end state but flexible in being able to see and follow different routes to get there
  • Financial understanding - how technology choices drive financials in build, deploy and run
  • Change understanding - how technology choices drive organisational and business model changes
  • Effective management in a matrix, complex, global organisation
  • Delivery of architectural artefacts e.g. strategies, standards, roadmaps ideally in an agile environment
  • Architecture governance to influence and drive decision making across a global, matrix organsiation
  • Partner enterprise architecture management understanding and skills
  • 8 - 10 years' (senior IT managerial) experience required within a complex international environment
  • Proven experience in technology lifecycle management
  • Significant project and programme experience in transformation technology/digital/agile programmes
  • Demonstrated capabilities in defining and managing enterprise strategy and architectures
