Global Head of Business Intelligence - Insurance - Head of BI

My client a Global Insurance Company who are seeking a Global Head of Business Intelligence. The Global Head of BI will work closely with the company's leadership team and you will help create a new global Business Intelligence capability and team to support a wide range of business functions.

This is an exciting opportunity for a position that will have a global reach and as such we are looking for someone with proven ability to manage organisations with direct and indirect reports across a matrix setup and ideally will have been through the process of setting up a group BI function within a large insurance organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for the delivery of strategic and tactical solutions in line with the Business Strategy and BI Roadmap

Managing a team of over 10, and recruiting further resources as team expands

Key Experience

Previous experience devising and delivering BI Strategy/Vision for large global Insurance company or large blue chip

At least 3 years experience working in large global complex insurance company

Wide range of expertise across diverse BI/DW technology, specifically SAP BI/BW/BO

Experience of vendor and tool selection process

Knowledge of BI project and software delivery methodologies

Varied industry exposure, although particular preference to those with Consultancy, Pharmaceutical or Retail experience

Must have experience working for a global entity across a distributed landscape

Proven abilities in Leadership and management

Strong communicator and proven negotiator, experience engaging with C-level execs

High attention to detail, problem solving and extensive organisation ability
