80 - 90k Base + Bonus + Car Allowance

As Head of IS Business Planning you would be responsible for transforming and managing the IS portfolio to maximise the value provided to the business.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Selecting and guiding the implementation of IS portfolio capability (people skills, tools, processes, models, data quality)
  • Working with business owners to ensure effective management of strategic investments - looking for options to drive optimisation
  • Compliance of IT investments with internal and external accounting procedures
  • Achieving the improvement target for IS value for the client
  • Maintaining and communicating the organisation's IS investment strategy in line with internal and external reporting needs
  • Providing a supply side capability that allows the balanced matching of investment demand and IS supply
  • Providing direction for assigned transformation programmes led by Business Planning
  • Achievement of agreed transformation improvements
  • Builds the IS investment capability with the BU SLT
  • Own and maintain the departmental planning process including portfolio management
  • Management of overall IS Strategy and Business Plan
  • Working with the Commercial team to ensure appropriate IS contracting, contract management and performance, and supplier performance
  • Ensuring effective financial management across the department, including charging and reporting - Management of budgetary processes for CAPEX and OPEX
  • Accountability of IS compliance - all audit and risk activities and reporting
  • Accountability for the of continuous improvement framework including monitoring and reporting of realised benefits
  • Co-ordination of communications for IS across the business utilising Internal Communications capability
  • Co-ordination of people development strategy

Requirements:

  • Experience with a high level of IS portfolio management and business planning
  • An excellent track record of customer relationship and stakeholder/account management
  • A background of IT solution design, development and operations in a multi-vendor outsource/offshore environment is essential
  • Experience with complex data analysis, synthesis and modelling
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related IT subject
  • Very strong knowledge of wholesale business areas in group services i.e. Asset Management, Work Management, Customer service, supported by IT Solutions, for example Web/Mobile, SAP, Business Intelligence, Predictive Analytics
