Head of Network Engineering/ Lead Network Engineer/ Global WAN / Office LAN/ Data Centre Hosting & Security /Data Centre Networking/ VOIP/ Cisco Data Centre / Nexus / F5 / Citrix NetScaler/ Avaya / NIDS/ NIPS

Montash is currently retained by a Global Leading Organisation seeking to acquire their Head of Network Engineering to lead their team responsible for designing and building the network capability, covering Global WAN, Office LAN and Data Centre networks for both Data & Voice.

Our client is seeking an experienced Lead Network Engineer or Head of Network Engineering with previous experience of leading complex teams and previous experience in a global organisation, ideally coming from a technical background.

The ideal candidate will have excellent stakeholder skills as well as the technical knowledge and experience that would allow them to contribute to the strategic long term IT plans and maintain the network design documentation & roadmap.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and shape the regional and global network engineering teams
  • Responsible for the design and configuration of all Network components enabling WAN and Data Centre networks.
  • Responsible for the design and build of the Telephony Network, especially delivering VoIP(Avaya) in large call centres
  • Provide 4rd line support on Network Incidents
  • Engage with the business and gather initial requirements
  • Provide 3rd line support on network incident and problems
  • Support the recruitment of the team
  • Ensure the adherence to organisational security standards
  • Focus on continuous process improvement and keep up to date with innovation and emerging technologies.

The ideal candidate for this role will have the following skills and experience:

  • Excellent knowledge and experience in creating standard network design or blue prints for Global WAN, Office LAN, Data Centre Hosting & Security
  • Strong experience and knowledge of Data Centre networking
  • Extensive experience leading teams
  • Have operated as a Lead Network Engineer/ Head of Network Engineering in a global environment
  • Previous experience of working with global service providers of Global WAN capabilities for large Enterprises
  • Ideally have industry qualifications(e.g. CCIE)
  • Network Security including NIDS/NIPS
  • Have experience of Voice/ VOIP and large call center technologies
  • Experience of Firewalls, load balancers and remote computing
  • Experience of routing protocols, Internet B2B/ B2C/ Mobile
  • Experience of Avaya would be an advantage
