Job Description

Montash is currently retained by an industry leading organisation seeking a Head of Portfolio Management to join their growing business.

Our client is looking for an experienced Portfolio Manager with extensive portfolio management experience within a global organisation ideally within the retail industry. Previous exposure to leading large scale projects and teams within complex global environments is essential.

The Head of Portfolio Management will lead a mature delivery team formed of senior business partners and project managers who will deliver and realise the benefits of business wide IT investments.

Our client is close to finishing a significant business transformation programme underpinned by large scale technology changes. While there is good progress so far, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to embed and fully deliver the benefits of the investment for numerous new platforms, technologies and vendors.

The successful candidate will deliver complex multimillion £ IT projects and programmes and will build and maintain relationships within the business.

Desired skills and experience:

  • Previous experience holding a leading Portfolio Manager position within a global organisation is essential

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in managing complex teams within fast paced environments

  • Previous experience being involved in large multimillion £ projects & programme transformations from the demand through to successful delivery while in charge of cost and quality.

  • Previous experience having managed teams across multiple country locations

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to demonstrate leadership qualities.

  • Previous engagement at C level across the business

  • Extensive Commercial Awareness is essential

  • Excellent line management skills

  • IT knowledge of current and emerging technologies and tools is essential
