Information Management Architect - Data Management Architect - Master Data Management Architect

My client, a world leading financial services organisation operating out of over 150 countries is seeking highly competent Information Management specialists to join their newly established Data Management Centre of Excellence which will pioneer concepts of Data Quality, Data Governance and Data Strategy across this complex global organisation.

 

The Information Management Architect will play a key role in establishing this COE and supporting information management and data harmonization across the group. You will be responsible for comprehensive business requirements definition and analysis around BI, Data Analytics and will be a lynchpin to the data standardization effort.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Gathering business requirements, and pinpointing common requirements across the group
  • Creation of use cases and data requirements
  • Maintaining overview of business requirements / use cases and ensuring re-use of concepts, data standards and data itself
  • Contributing to data standardization efforts across functions and business units
  • Contributing to business strategy and approaches behind master data management (MDM)
  • Leveraging and enhancing standard models (e.g. business capability framework, business glossary, business process model)
  • Collaborating with other business segments and business unit Architects to ensure common approach and adherence to standards
  • Accompanying the project scope definition and shaping; guiding development of functional specifications; facilitating use case creation
  • Participating and maintaining SME forums around information management architecture and data standardization
  • Metrics definition with other key personnel within COE
  • Reviewing use cases and information management requirements produced by projects at defined governance checkpoints

 

Key Skills:

  • Degree Education
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis domain and related information management/data architecture field
  • Financial Services industry experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience of Business Intelligence
  • Business process design expertise
  • Proven experience in use case definition
  • Impeccable English (both oral and written), preferably German, Spanish, Italian or Portuguese
  • Proficiency in using models (data models, architecture models, enterprise models, e.g. ERM and UML); preferably IBM models
  • Consulting methods and strong stakeholder engagement ability (ability to challenge and write specs etc.)
  • Sound knowledge of the data standardization / data stewardship approaches
  • Strong understanding of the master data management and related capabilities
  • Good understanding of the main components of IT architecture and how they are impacted by business architecture
