Infrastructure Service Engineer required. An Infrastructure Service Engineer is required by one of Montash's key clients on an initial three month contract (strong possibility for extension) in Worcestershire. We would like to hear from an Infrastructure Service Engineer who has a proven and driven focus to manage multiple activities (coordination), influence stakeholders and customers with the technical know-how on what good looks like.
The Infrastructure Service Engineer will be responsible for the co-ordination of technical IT staff to enhance and improve service offerings and IT Systems on customer sites. The Infrastructure Service Engineer will be the sole point of contact advising organistions of the best use of their IT from Data Centres to Windows operating systems and networks. The Infrastructure Service Engineer will oversee the improvements and then be responsible for ensuring the solution has been configured to standard.
The Infrastructure Service Engineer will have a strong technical background with experience at consultant level liaising and managing teams of technical staff to implement workable solutions to improve BAU. The Infrastructure Service Engineer will have in depth knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, Vmware, and ideally Cisco network solutions, including switches and LAN environments. The Infrastructure Service Engineer will have worked within an ITIL environment and have experience promoting best practice within IT environments.
It is important for the Infrastructure Service Engineer to have the following skills and experience:
- Know how VMware, networking and ITIL works
- Know Windows OS
- Understand infrastructure architecture - what a data centre looks like, what a server looks like
