IT Business Relationship Manager; Sales & Marketing - London - 90K-100K + benefits

Our client a global FMCG with a revenue of $29 billion are currently seeking an IT Business Relationship Manager who will be responsible for the European IT Sales & Marketing business unit. The IT Business Relationship Manager will have additional programme management responsibility for delivery of projects within this service.

The role offers an opportunity to really transform the way the company approaches Sales and Marketing and as part of this the successful candidate will have a seat on the European Sales group. You will also look at ways of driving the digital plans for the organisation.

It is essential that candidates have worked in an FMCG environment previously.


  • University Degree, MBA or post graduate degree preferable
  • Strong knowledge of Sales & Marketing; CRM, TPM (Trade promotions management) and BI
    • Previous commercial experience within an FMCG environment
    • Experience working with multiple stakeholders from different functions and different organizational levels
    • Experience in managing all areas of IT including IT planning and budgeting, systems development, technology infrastructure, and vendor management
    • Good influencing, people and project management skills


  • Playing an active role as a member of the management team to drive business improvement
  • Innovating and influencing how we leverage technology in the organization; identifying opportunities to transform the business through the application of technology.
  • Working together with global IT groups to ensure alignment of IT strategy with the business priorities and maximize value creation.
  • Aligning local IT resources and local suppliers to provide the technology solutions and ongoing support per plan.
  • Managing a strategic program to drive capability across the region, working with other BRMs to understand business requirements; collaborating with experts across the region, in a matrix with the global IT team.
  • Managing a direct team of 1-5 people, plus an indirect network of internal & external staff. The current organization design has 3 direct reports (Sales Effectiveness, TPM & BI).
  • This role includes ownership of the technology package for the UKI (~$1M total) and CAPEX ownership for the Sales/Marketing portfolio (~$1.5M in 2017; ~$2.5M in 2018).
