Job description
My client is a FTSE 250 Bank based in Essex who are looking for an individual who has solid experience in working with all aspects of the full software development life cycle; they must have played a major part in the initial design and development of multi-user systems (both thin and fat), have experience in object-orientated designed systems and in providing user support in relation to the above.


  • Creation of design specifications and technical specifications for system amendments/ enhancements
  • Enhancements as per specifications i.e. Modules/ User interface/ Reports
  • Testing of system amendments/ enhancements
  • Documentation of enhancements/ amendments
  • Completing user support requests
  • Fault finding/ problem solving
  • Adhoc reporting and data extraction
  • Database design/ administration
  • Periodical review and enhancement of departmental software development processes


  • Knowledge of TCF
  • Sold knowledge with either of the following: VB.NET or SQL Server 2005-2008
  • Object orientated design experience
  • Relational database design and administration i.e. Data normalisation
  • Web application development using ASP. Net
  • Broad knowledge in Reporting tools (I.e. Crystal report/ Active reports/ SSRS/SSIS)
  • PHP/ HTML/ JavaScript
  • XML, SOAP, Web/ Windows services
  • Ability to travel to my clients offices throughout the UK if necessary
