Montash have been engaged by a Pharmaceutical client to source a Project Manager for a 6 month contract based in Harlow with some travel to Glasgow. The Project Manager must have worked on Home Delivery Projects or have experience in supply chain and logistics from a Home Delivery perspective.

The client are a 100,000 fleet home delivery and homecare service providing healthcare management, administration, delivery of care, medication and ancillaries to patients in their home. The patient services team is a skilled contact centre operation across 3 sites (Harlow, Derby and Glasgow).

All patient interaction is currently over the phone and this project is to reduce overheads and increase profitability by reducing phone contact.

The project manager will be working on a Solution that is a web based portal. This solution will allow patients to take control of their own needs ie book deliveries etc.

The Prroject is at the initial scoping, business case phase and the ideal would be to bring in a Project Manager who has some Business Analyst background who can formulate some process mapping to facilitate.

Duties/deliverables:

A core IT Project Manager is required who can come in at inception and undertake the initial scoping and business case submission, moving through to vendor selection process and to interaction with the legal team to assign/agree contracts

Solution could be an on the market or an off the shelf one and the Project Manager will need to assimilate whether this will fit requirements

If a third party supplier is chosen the PM will need to manage the 3rd party and manage the client's technical staff.

The ideal Project Manager will have a home delivery project background with some web projects experience.

The business is heavily governed therefore the client is looking for a PRINCE focussed PM.

Challenges:

  • Initially working with business functions to initially document user requirements
  • Environment is quite complex
  • Sensitivity of data adds a complexity as there are patients who are HIV positive etc so dealing with very sensitive data

  • Accomplished Business Change/Transformation PM with core disciplines - change, planning, budget
  • Relevant home delivery related project experience
  • 3rd party management and Vendor Management
  • Ideally process mapping
  • Vendor selection
  • PRINCE and ideally Agile

Desirable:

  • Web based solution projects experience
