Job Description

IT Applications Solution Architect

I am currently working with a Global Enterprise with a revenue of $37.52 billion last year. They operate in over 100 countries worldwide; and they have just started centralizing their IT function.

This will be one of the largest IT Programmes in the world and as such it is a very exciting time to join the business.

We are looking for a technology agnostic Solution Architect with broad experience in Cloud (Azure and Google Cloud), ERP (Salesforce.com, and Workday) and Web Technologies; that will be able to adapt to new technologies.

Due to the complexity of this programme we are looking for a technology savvy architect with excellent stakeholder management skills that would be able to align designs and strategy with global and local standards.

Experience required:

o Highly experienced with principles of application architecture for large-scale distributed systems

o Extensive experience in high level design and implementation experience in platform software, including architecture, performance, reliability, availability and SLA management.

o Experience designing, prototyping, and architecting key features across all components.

o Act as a trusted advisor for system solutions as-well as internal stakeholders and project sponsors

o Thought leader in the application solutions and products to solve business problems

o Ability to work in a dynamic environment across a multitude of technical and business customers and prospects

o Leverage knowledge of open source and 3rd party products and solutions to drive development and deployment of architectures

o Experienced with Cloud applications, deployment models, and deep knowledge with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Google cloud, Azure).

o Experience with ERP Systems such as Salesforce.com or Workday; ideally experience with .NET technologies

o Experience with web technologies

o Ability to manage vendors and suppliers as-well as build long term relationships.

o Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

o Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

o BS or higher degree in computer science or a related field.
