Java Developer; London, £45,000 - £50,000

Our client a Global Transportation and Logistics company who are present in over 100 countries and have a revenue over 20 billion CHE, are actively seeking an experienced Java Developer to join their Architecture team based in London.

The Java Developer must have a good foundation in software design and development, J2EE framework, design patterns and object oriented programming.

Essential skills:

  • 3 years'+ experience as a Java Developer working within an agile environment and experience in the following:
  • J2SE, J2EE
  • MVC
  • Spring Framework
  • Struts, JSF, JavaScript, AJAX
  • JMS, JBossmq, JBoss Clustering

Responsibilities:

  • Design and code core application frameworks for complex projects.
  • Define and enforces project development best practices
  • Responsible for undertaking complex projects and provide expertise at top technical level.
  • Defines development tasks, assigns tasks to development team, and monitors and reports status of development tasks.
  • Coordinates with users and business analysts to understand requirements.
  • Lead the development of software architecture documentation.
  • Mentor and train less-experienced software development staff.
