Job Description

Junior Database Administrator (DBA) - SQL Server - Financial Services - London - Up to £50,000

Montash are currently partnering with a London based Global Enterprise who have ambitious plans to double in size by 2018. Our client has a solid reputation within the market and are actively seeking a Junior Database Administrator (DBA) to join their team on a permanent basis.

The Database Administrator must have previous experience of supporting business critical databases and Microsoft SQL Server.

Essential Skills:

  • Good knowledge of MS SQL Server
  • Scripting Knowledge (powershell, cmdshell, TSQL)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Business Intelligence Stack (particularly SSRS)

Responsibilities:

  • Production Support (Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 to 2016 SP1)
  • Backup and recovery
  • Installing and configuring Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience and knowledge of the Windows Operating Systems (Windows 2008 to Windows 2012)
  • Review and amend transact-SQL queries
  • Working with developers and end users to troubleshoot and optimise application performance
