Job Description

A high- end client based in Central London is looking for a confident lead Cloud/ Infrastructure Architect who holds a strong knowledge and understanding of UCS Directory.

As the Lead Architect you will understand the clients business and uses of technical excellence to design and deliver architecture and held accountable for specific solutions that add value to the businesses. You will act as the technical project owner and performing the role of lead technical consultant of the project/engagement

You will work closely with all teams and in particular with the Solution Architects to make sure there is an effective transition from pre to post sales

  • with the Project Management Office to provide support and guidance
  • with the Consultants engaged on the delivery of the solution to ensure the quality of the services provided

As the Lead Delivery Consultant it is crucial that you have an in-depth understanding and experience across multiple architecture domains including business, technical, solution, service architecture.

Experience

  • Strong knowledge of architecting the traditional' infrastructure layers and Data Centre technologies: Network, compute and storage systems and virtualisation experience
  • Experienced with stateless server setup and management, scaling, hardening and frequent software deployment
  • Current knowledge of Azure & AWS services offering and competing IaaS and PaaS vendors and Hybrid Cloud integration
  • Broad LAN/WAN and Network Security knowledge (IPS, IDS, VLANs, subnets, DNS, DHCP, Firewalls, Routing, ACLs and VPN's, MPLS, Express Route etc)
  • Extensive experience with Azure AD, VMs, Azure Storage, Directory Integration via ADFS (or FIM), Barracuda FW, Azure Scale and Availability Sets for HA, Geo-Replication, Custom VHDs, SQL DB, Web Roles etc
  • Interaction with Azure through APIs and software development approaches
  • Strong Automation/Orchestration and Config Management (ie Azure Automation, SCOM, Puppet, Chef, Tivoli, Cisco UCS Director or similar
  • Automation - Deployment experience of UCS Director / Prime service catalogue - Config and design not just Install -Project environment
