IT Portfolio Manager - Luton - Up to £80,000 + £5,000 car allowance + 25% bonus & benefits

Our client a global e-commerce retail organisation who operate in over 180 countries and had a revenue over 20 Billion EUR last year, are actively seeking an IT Portfolio Manager to join their team based in Luton.

The ideal candidate must be hands on and will have extensive experience managing Application Development projects, with proven team leadership experience.

Essential skills:

  • Extensive experience of managing portfolios of IT projects and Programme
  • Proven track record of managing Application Development and Infrastructure Upgrade projects
  • Experience of direct line management of Project Managers and Business Analysts
  • Ability to see the big picture and think strategically
  • Excellent communicator
  • E-Commerce or Retail experience preferred.

Core areas of responsibility are:

  • Demand Management:

    • Manage a pipeline of planned & unplanned requests. Identify business needs & opportunities & feed them into demand management process
  • Portfolio Management:

    • Own delivery & manage an assigned portfolio of business change projects enabled by IT.
  • Project Delivery Assurance:

    • Provide guidance, support & assurance to Project Managers, aimed at achieving delivery on time, budget & to customer expectations
  • Business Relationship Management:

    • Build, own, develop & foster the IT / Business relationship for the assigned business areas.
  • Stakeholder Management & Communication:

    • Form strong, positive working relationships at all levels in their client organisations, including UK&I Board Members, Heads of Functions, Business Change Leads & various SMEs.
  • Team Management:

  • Ensure high delivery standards & performance of project teams formed by internal employees, contractors & external suppliers
