Montash have been engaged by a leading Retailer to source a Business Improvement Consultant for an initial 3 month contract based in Luton. The role will involve regular travel to Stockholm. **You must have some form of Six sigma qualification**

You will be working on a Major Business Transformation Programme of Work coordinating two different markets an IT platforms and ensuring that the processes are in line with eachother.

The role will actually span 5 workstreams with 4 -5 tranches. The business improvement consultant will be getting involved in end to end processes, and ensuring common processes.

They are looking for is someone who has the 'softer' skills required in change management, someone that can fit within a broad, cross-cultural project team (and not leading it) and is adaptable and flexible in the approach and techniques to use as a Process Lead. It is mainly about change management, facilitation and gaining buy-in in a politically sensitive programme of work where systems and processes are being aligned across markets.

Duties/Typical Week:

  • Running and facilitating workshops to drive out differences in capabilities and process
  • Planning approach
  • Drive a common way of working, prioritising requirements - ensuring non functional requirement documents aligned to processes agreed
  • Outputs - coordinating these to key decision makers
  • Planning for further process reviews
  • Represent their work stream at meetings / project boards
  • Clear communications - Stakeholder management - ability to highlight key points in a way that's appropriate to the level of the audience - especially where there may be conflicting interests/agendas

Essential Skills:

  • Lean 6 Sigma (Black belt ideally)
  • Business Process Mapping
  • Visio
  • Strong relationship management and excellent Stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience on large, multi market large transformation programmes within complex organisations
  • Gravitas
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to be objective - question and probe Ability to show value of project

Desirable:

  • International projects experience- exp with different cultures
  • Travel not essential but experience on similar projects with disparate teams a big plus
