Job Description

About the team

If you are a Product Manager seeking new exciting challenges where you can make an impact working for one of the largest Ecommerce web companies in the world, look no further. My client is fuelled by big ideas and inspirational personalities. From small apps to major product launches, they're always innovating.

The team is responsible for the worldwide customer facing search features on desktops, tablets, and mobile devices, everything from the moment a customer clicks into the search box to when they view search results. This enterprise currently employs around 82,000 people globally and they are embarking in a Global Digital Transformation.

The team closely partner with the teams that power search relevance, product recommendations ("Recommended for You"), similar products ("Other customers who purchased this also looked at…") and sales ranking. As a product manager, this infrastructure and access to data frees you to assemble features and services quickly that can make a huge impact on the customer experience. What recommendations data could you use to make search more personalized? How can we use product similarity and sales data to augment and enrich our results? What other data could we collect and use in search that we haven't thought of yet?

About the role

As a Product Manager, you will have a specific focus on the web and search platforms and will be responsible for delivering cross-industry solutions that enable the international team to work more efficiently. You will contribute to the vision, gather and prioritize requirements, define the platform roadmap and work closely with user experience/design, development and quality assurance to deliver required capabilities to market.

The Product Manager will manage a dynamic group with cross-functional resources and will be responsible for identifying trends in the market and working closely with internal stakeholders to identify and respond to competitive developments.

You will see success in your first year by synthesizing ideas from internal business leaders, customer usability studies, end user feedback and competitive/market intelligence and shaping them into powerful platform enhancements.

Some of your projects will include:

  • Serving as product or project owner on several high profile, high impact deliverables for our next generation of web and search products from concept through launch
  • Building consensus and justifying product recommendations in terms of client workflow/need, usability, intuitiveness, consistency, and business goals
  • Developing and executing on go-to-market strategies for product rollout/launch

You must be resident in Germany, as my client is unable to sponsor visas.
