Montash - London

Role: Python Developer

Location: Central London

Rate: £400 - £600 per a day (all inclusive)

Start: ASAP

Contract: 12 months

One of our big clients here at Montash are currently looking for a Senior Python Developer to join their team. This firm is currently working on a major application development project. The architecture for the platform (built in Python) is already complete, now developers are required as part of a continuous hiring process. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Python developer to join an industry leading VC firm that has multiple clients working with Python, meaning an excellent opportunity for longevity across various clients.

As a senior Python Developer, you will have:

  • Extensive hands-on development skills in Python including developing Python modules and interfaces
  • Experience on RESTful web service APIs
  • Experience developing dynamic, feature-rich web applications using Django as a framework
  • Experience in analysis, design, development and implementation of various web based applications

Necessary skills:

  • Ability to write clean Python code
  • Experience using web-based applications using Python, Django, Flask and JavaScript
  • Extensive Python development experience
  • Expertise with databases such as MySQL, SQLite and NoSQL
  • Extensive work experience in an 'Agile' environment
  • Experience with Object Orientated programming concepts

Desirable skills as a Python developer:

  • Experience of large scale systems / high availability systems
  • Knowledge on Unix/Linux command line and shell scripting
  • Knowledge of C, C++ and Java
  • Experience with front-end development frameworks, such as Twitter Bootstrap
