The role

Principal accountabilities


Resource planning and strategy:
* Understand and contribute to the development of the resourcing strategy with the rest of the HR team
* Contribute to the development of resourcing policies and processes
* Actively contribute to the sourcing strategy, by considering all sourcing options and developing creative resourcing solutions to source candidates
* Devise, plan, assess and run selection processes including interviews, psychometric tests, personality questionnaires and various group activities
* Proactively support the HR function and the business in delivering recruitment and talent processes
* Maintain a pipeline of quality candidates
* Build good understanding of your business areas, the external market and close working relationships with key stakeholders within them in order to add value / expertise

The individual

Essential skills include
* Proven experience in recruiting either in-house or agency
* Experience and proven track record of developing strong relationships with multiple stakeholders across different locations at all levels
* Experienced in competency based interview techniques
* Experienced at sourcing candidates from direct sourcing methods including LinkedIn, CV Databases
* Experience of sourcing candidates
* Used to a variety of assessment and selection techniques
* Used to working effectively to KPIs and SLAs
* Able to travel across UK on a very regular basis
* Worked with HR business partners

Desirable skills include
* Experience of recruiting across a range of functions and levels
* Experience of recruiting for Retail and other support functions
* Awareness of working in a multi-site organisation
* Understand how to assess potential
* Experience of talent and succession management
* Experience of a retail environment
