Job Description

Technical Architect required. A Technical Architect is required for a 12 month contract based in central London. The Technical Architect will work within an Agile, DevOps environment delivering cloud based open source solutions and have experience of defining and implementing target and transition architectures for mission critical legacy transformation projects.

The Technical Architect will work with Microservices architecture which includes Java, Node, JS, ELK, Postgres, MongoDB and AWS. Acting as lead architect, you will oversee the transformation of an easy to support system where you will be responsible for mitigating risk and minimising technical debt.

The Technical Architect will have experience of government operational systems, as well as defining NFRs. Please note that this role is outside of IR35.

In addition to this, the Technical Architect will ideally be SC cleared (not essential, however) and possess strong stakeholder and communication skills as you will be working in a multi-supplier team in a transparent and collaborative environment. Experience working with legacy technologies such as Oracle and Tibco would be advantageous.

Essential skills and experience

  • Working knowledge of Microservice architectures - Java, Node, JS, ELK, Postgres, MongoDB and AWS
  • Understanding a DevOps culture
  • Experience in Agile environments
  • Experience with cloud architectures
  • Experience of Open Source
