Job Description

Senior Data Processor

Start: 17th November 2014 for 50 days (subject to requirement)

Day Rate: €550-€650 per day

 

Montash are in partnership with a leading client in the energy sector for an office based Senior Data Processor opportunity in Ireland. MBES and SBES datasets (Kongsberg EM2040D and EA400) have been imported in Caris Hips & Sips 7.1 and the data acquired has partly been cleaned.

The following jobs still need to be completed:

  • Delivering data processing reports
  • Post processing of Rinex nav data within Terrapos (using PPP method)
  • Verifying tidal consistency across entire dataset
  • Correcting delayed heave (resulting from Seapath 330+)
  • Each dataset needs to be cleaned and tested using Caris editing tools in order to evaluate bathymetric inconsistencies, density of data, compliance with IHO order 1a and a lack of any outlier
  • Importing post processed nav in Caris Hips & Sips, and computation of post processed GPS tidal solution with VORF model
  • To process multibeam backscatter with Hips&Sips version of the Geocoder algorithm
  • Exporting both bathymetric and backscatter deliverables conferring to INFOMAR SOP
  • SVP and draft adjustments to be carried out as needed

 


Responsibilities include:

  • Data Processing of:
    • EM2040D
    • EM3002 MBES
    • EA400 SBES
  • Data Integration of adjacent MBES datasets.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 8 years offshore survey experience in a MBES (or similar) data processing role
  • The ability to troubleshoot any problems encountered when using the above systems
  • A good command of the English language; both written and spoken

  • Caris HIPS&SIPS
  • SIS
  • QINSy
  • C-NAV
  • Fledermaus/IVS Applications
  • ArcGIS
