Montash is currently retained by a world leading consultancy and is seeking a Senior Hadoop Developer to join their industry leading Technology Consulting business. The individual will be part of the Hadoop development team and liaising with global clients.

The Senior Hadoop Developer will be experienced in operating at different levels and working closely with both the presales and the development team.

The successful candidate must show demonstrable experience in:

* Hadoop Development experience is essential
* Having hands-on exposure to the design, development or support of Hadoop in an implementation environment within a consultancy or an end user organisation would be desirable
* Understanding of data structures, modeling and Data Warehousing.
* Previous experience of being part of complex teams and having interacted with all levels of client management and staff
* Implementing ETL/ELT processes with MapReduce, PIG, Hive
* Understanding programming languages such as; Shell, C, C++, C#, Java, Python, Perl, R.
