Senior Optica Developer Team lead

Provide Technical Leadership for Team of 6 Developers & Testers through all phases of development

Produce Estimates for Application Enhancements

Work with Customer and Business Analyst to Produce High and Low Level Designs

Work with Business Analyst and Tester to maintain traceability

Liaise with Customer to provide regular feedback on Progress

Liaise with Customer to support Customer Test Cycles (e.g. SIT, UAT, OAT etc.)

Liaise with Second Line to support release of code changes into Pre Production and Production Environments

Liaise with Third Line to provide Early Life support for Code Changes going into Production

Provide Mentorship and Code Review for the team

Maintain the Cloud Based Development Infrastructure (VMWare VCloud Director)

Essential Skills:

Experience of leading a Development Team in an Agile Environment

Experience of Producing High and Low Level Designs

7+ Years of Java Development Experience, including JEE

Experience of Front End Web Development (HTML, Javascript, CSS etc.)

Experience with Relational Databases

Experience with consuming and producing RESTful Webservices (Swagger, JAXRS etc.)

Knowledge of JSF

Desirable Skills:

Experience of the following technologies:

CDI or Spring

Hibernate/JPA

Cucumber JVM/Gherkin (or similar BDD based technologies)

Apache Camel

Maven

Gradle

MySQL Enterprise

JMeter

Swagger/Swagger Code Gen

JUnit/DBUnit

RTC

Experience of managing Linux Based Servers and Build Tools such as Jenkins, Jenkins Pipeline, Sonar, Nexus

Experience with a configuration management tool (E.g. Puppet, Chef, Ansible)
