Senior Technical Specialist for Information Management

Swindon

£47,000 - £52,000

Montash are currently retained by a large UK building society who is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Specialist to join their new technical capability function. They need an individual who not only is up to date with the latest developments in their field, but someone who also strives in improving member experience through technical excellence and industry leading design.

Role and responsibilities

  • Task leadership within an assigned domain
  • Produce and review designs and technical requirements across all environments
  • Produce and validate estimates and quotes
  • Review business requirements, test strategies, warranty plans and other artefacts with accountability for the traceability of business requirements
  • Provide consultancy, system support and service introduction support to Application Services
  • Provide test support
  • Build working relationships internally and with associated strategic partners
  • Carry out technical quality reviews of strategic partner deliverables
  • Help to drive continuous improvements across your assigned domain and within the Technical Practice
  • Help to develop trainees and transfer specialist technical experience

Requirements

  • Experience in a systems design role or systems analysis role in the information management domain
  • Experience in working for an organization that operates a complex technical portfolio
  • Experience working in a challenging environment
  • Experience in Stakeholder management and engagement
  • Experience communicating and influencing peers and management
  • The ability to react with pace in a changing demand
  • Experience in task management and mentoring
  • Many years of experience using Informatica and Teradata
  • Experience of designing and developing data warehouses using various data modelling techniques
  • Knowledge of ETL frameworks
  • Track record in development of IM solutions on a variety of platforms
  • Strong understanding the end-2-end IM environment
  • Up to date with emerging technologies and trends
  • Knowledge of the finance industry
