Montash have been engaged by a leading multinational conglomerate to source a Data Scientist with experience in Smart Home products for a 6 month contract. This role can be based in either Weybridge or Bristol and the opportunity to work from home 2 - 3 days per week.

The client have developed a smart home product, especially designed for the UK market. It allows users to understand and take control of their energy use, control their heating from their smart phone, and (very soon) much much more. They have developed it in-house and with key partners, with an end product including in-home devices and gateway, a cloud platform and APIs, intelligent algorithms, a user facing app, and a support portal. To assist in further developing the product, they are expanding their team.

The Data Scientist will join the client's small existing team of data scientists and engineers. They will be responsible for developing prototype and production quality analytics modules, primarily associated with analysing and finding insight from energy consumption data. These could be simple pragmatic rule-based analytics, complex machine learning algorithms, or anywhere in between. They will assist in ensuring appropriate development data is available, through working on data collection from beta user homes, processing third party datasets, and synthesising data. They will work with the Solution Architect and delivery teams to agree how new analytics modules will be implemented and assist in implementation reviews.
