Job Description

WMS Application Support Analyst

Currently I am working with a Global Enterprise that is currently that is going through a Global Transformation in their WM System.

Job Responsibilities

  • Defines business problems related to the WMS and their system solutions including analysis of alternatives and ROI
  • Provides customer support management for our Centers (i.e. managing Help Desk tickets)
  • Implements enhancements by following our mandated change management and security procedures
  • Improve overall quality of configuration settings in WMS production environments, application functionality and performance
  • Focused on meeting scheduled milestones and ensures project objectives are met
  • Has an in-depth knowledge of industry standard change control processes and procedures.
  • Ensures that development practices being used (internal & external) are compliant with IT process requirements, e.g. quality, security and project management
  • Provide after-hours support in cases of a business critical application problem
  • Collaborates with members of the IT Engagement and Delivery groups to fully understand process requirements and solution proposals
  • Provides status reporting on Tickets, Modification and Project requests as required.
  • Works with software vendors and external application resources in cases where the business solution requires it



REQUIREMENTS:

Academic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, related field or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent written and verbal German & English communication skills
  • Ability to travel - up to 30%

Essential Technical Skills:

  • 2+ years of IT experience supporting Warehouse Management System development, implementation, configuration, testing and/or support
  • Extensive integration and regression testing experience
  • Implementation and support experience in a global environment
  • Experience in supply chain management, warehousing and distribution
  • Manhattan WMOS, SAP eWM, MOVE, and Exeter WMS experience is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP
  • Desktop tools such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Essential Analytical Skills:

  • Candidates must have the ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently
  • Must possess a disciplined approach and commitment to delivering on Service Level Agreements (SLA's)
  • Must be able to efficiently manage the service delivery process
  • Must be adaptable to changing business requirements
  • Ability to effectively work in a team where other team members may be located throughout the world
  • Self-starter with the ability to independently resolve issues and deliver results
